Hi.
I use a chinese 6090 which reads toolpaths from a USB drive.
So at this point there are many toolpaths on the drive with names that for the most part mean nothing to me. I have been slack and not recorded 'metadata'.
My question is : Does V Carve remember the names of combined toolpaths? ie two or more toolpaths using the same tool sequentially saved as a 'new' entity.
Also - can an nc file be converted back into V Carve? or at least imported?
Thanks,
Rob.

Re: saved toolpaths
Saved toolpaths have whatever name you give them when they are saved. They include or do not include multiple toolpaths as selected when they were saved. The separate names are saved in the toolpath text*. They do include information about the tools that are used in them, which can be seen with a text editor.
I don't believe you can import a toolpath into VCarve and see what it does. You can import toolpaths that were saved as a template, but they do not include vector information.
*This may or may not be true depending upon how the post processor is written.
