Proper Bits and depth Cuts

Post by Siftyy »

Hello everyone, thanks to this forum I've been able to get a file cut on my schools shopbot. I was looking to optimize the file and find the proper bits to use. Right now I'm using a 1/2" 48-072 for all the 1/2" cuts, and a generic upcut 1/8 bit I found for all the 1/8" cuts. What are the proper bits and depths needed for this type of toolpath? I can't describe the actions very well, I hope the file below can clear everything up.

For reference, I'm planning to use hardwoods like Walnut, purple heart, and cherry for most of my tests.

Thanks!
