Toolpath forgets what bit I chose

I did a pocket toolpath as usual. Then I rearranged the order of the paths by dragging them. When I double click a path to double check settings, then the tool button, there is no bit chosen. Happens quite frequently.

Also, I've noticed that in v9 new toolpaths come to the top of the list, rather than the bottom like in v8.5. Is there a way to change this?

The Select button doesn't always match up with a tool in the tool database. The settings have to be identical from what I understand so if you made any changes within the toolpath (might have been in a different session if you're starting a new toolpath) it won't match against a database entry. It's done that for as long as I've been using it since 2006.
