Model of CNC Machine: ShopSabre

Front and Side

Post by KWiK »

Am I just being dense again, or is there a way to have the same model in a file, so both the front and side can be saved in a image?

The reason I want this is because I have been taking all the solid models I own, and loading them into Vcarve. Then I wrote a program to extract the 3d and 2d views from the .crv file. I am finding though a lot of the models need at least two views to make it clear what they look like. I want to put the images on my web site once I have the views I need.

I am more than willing to share to code to extract the images. Vectrics confirmed that it was OK and it wasn't in any way going against any reverse engineering of the file. You have to have the free program 7Z for it to work, and it is a little glitchy because it is basically using the dos version of 7z and I end up with some timing issues, that I have been fighting with.

If you are interested, just post back here, and I will get it on my web site.
