Hi everyone,
I am very new to both CNC and VCarve. I am using the latest version of Vcarve Pro (9.010) with a 4x8 Industrial CNC controlled by Mach 3. I am trying to design something that is 6' wide by 4' tall. Because it involves text I am trying to rotate the x and y axis while I create the design so I don't have to turn my head to the side the entire time. I have looked all over to find out how to do this with no luck. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Switching x y axis views while designing
You can design whichever way around you like and then rotate the whole piece using the Rotate tool (or the 9 0 shortcut keys) when it comes time to generate the toolpaths.
You can't change the XY axis.
You can't change the XY axis.

In the 3D view, in the upper right corner, you'll see xyz axis direction symbols. By clicking one, it will change the axis view in the 3D view.
