dovetail gadget
I downloaded the dovetail gadget yesterday and thought Id give it a try. I must be missing something because it sure wont work for me. The dovetails and the pins both go to the outside of the ends. Any ideas ?? I watched and worked along with the tutorial 4 or 5 times and always is the same . Thanks ahead of time.

Re: dovetail gadget
Check where the start node is on the vectors after you've cut them. Move them to the other end and you should find it works then.

Re: dovetail gadget
The issue you're having as been raised several times before in the Gadget section of the forum and it's always the start node that is the cause so I'm surprised that's not working for you.

Re: dovetail gadget
It shouldn't be on a corner as you need single vectors to use the gadget so the start node is on one end of the line or the other.

It's always nice to let everyone know what the issue was, as it might help someone reading this thread in the future.

Re: dovetail gadget
The only thing I could figure I was doing wrong was what Adrian said, but, the starting points for the sides and the ends, top left on the left end and bottom right on the right end. When I did this ( 5 or 6 times) it always worked perfectly. Yes I did have to change the starting point on every piece. Hope this can be understood OK .

Re: dovetail gadget
I found that after I cut the four vector lines, that the line vector arrows all had to be pointing in the counter-clockwise direction.
