I have looked at code ripper but I am confused about the output Gcode file. Is it only for Mach3 or can it output other Gcode formats for other machines. I currently have a Shark and their compiler.

GCode Ripper works with Mach3 and LinuxCNC.

I have a friend that has a Shark. I think there is a probing software that is built in or can be added to the Shark. I know it will do 5 probe point, not sure if you can set more probe points.

The Shark Virtual Zero uses 5 points to approximate a surface as a pyramid consisting of 4 triangles. I suspect that it would do a poor job of representing a spherical surface for VCarving.

You need to contact Support in order to be able to send and receive messages. I really don't understand why they just don't put that there as I've answered this question many times since I had it myself when I first started.

Hi Steve,

I'm not sure but Vectric may have set you up to post private messages. Your name is no longer red, at least that's what I am seeing.
