3d View zoom question

Post by jbrown2252 »

Is there a way, while viewing the 3D view tab, that when you zoom in, to be able to zoom into certain sections of the work instead of defaulting to the center of the workpiece?

For instance, if I have a large plaque or sign that's 32x32 inches and I want to look closer to something near the perimeter, is there a way to zero in on an specific area to zoom into?

Use your wheel to scroll in. then by pushing both buttons on your mouse you can drag the image any way that you want

If you've got a wheel mouse you can zoom in and out using the wheel and pressing/holding the wheel down will let you pan around as well. If you don't have the click option on your wheel then holding both buttons or ctrl-left button will let you pan around as well.

If you don't have a wheel at all (touchpad for example) then you can zoom by holding the right button and moving the mouse and pan with the buttons mentioned previously.
