Radius for pencil tip engraver?

Post by johnelle »

Just got a new WM SC-50 engraving bit. The manufacturer gives no width for the tip and lists it as "pencil." Entering it as an engraving bit what shouldnI use as a tip size? It's sharp as a needle (well maybe not quite but very sharp)

If it is the Whiteside carving bit then it looks like it comes to a point, in that case you should add it as a V bit rather than an engraving bit
