Re: opening pdf in vcarvepro
Both the pdf and the dxf come in at exactly the same dimensions (94.9046 x 39.7635)
(Hopefully you won't be cutting that shape as-is. The outline quality is terrible. Best to redraw it in VCP to get nice, clean vectors.)

Re: opening pdf in vcarvepro
What program are you using to show the dimension as a PDF?
Re: opening pdf in vcarvepro
Hi Adrian
I am using Adobe acrobat reader. the customer is also saying that the 96x41.35 is the correct size of the cutting file
but from my dxf i made using vcarve shows its not.
thanks paul

Re: opening pdf in vcarvepro
The 96x41.35 in Adobe is the page size not the size of the shape.
Re: opening pdf in vcarvepro
got you Adrian now? how do i find the exact size of the object in Adobe. what do i click on?
thanks
thanks

Re: opening pdf in vcarvepro
No idea how you do that in Adobe but I've imported that shape into every program that I have that reads PDF files and they all say the actual shape is the same size as VCarve does.
If the customer wants it to match the page size you'll need to use the Size tool in VCarve to make it bigger.

Re: opening pdf in vcarvepro
Hi Paul
It sounds like a misunderstanding between you and the customer. Ask the customer what overall size the SHAPE should be (the page size is likely irrelevant).
Once you know the actual desired shape size, you can proceed from there.
It appears you used auto-trace to get your vectors of that shape and would explain why the vectors are loaded with irregularities.
Personally, I would draw the vectors manually (using the original shape only as a guide). That way, you will have nice, clean vectors. It will only take a few minutes to draw.
