need help with lockdowel vectors

Post by rej »

if you go the lockdowel website, on the online catalogue, page 4 and 5, it shows the dimensions used to cut the slots for the dowel pieces.
i need help drawing the vectors in vcarvepro. i actually have aspire, but i can open vcarve files.
if someone could help me it would be appreciated.
if you have not seen this product, it's pretty awesome.
thanks

Is this what you wanted? The keyhole gadget will probably be the way to go.

Rej,

Any possibility in purchasing say 25 of either the 9mm or the longer plastic barber channel locks shown in your post? Lockdowel online store only seems to offer bulk sales of 500 units - simply do not need that many - am a small home based doing one cabinet and want to try out this system. Thanks, Don

these were given to me at the awfs show in vegas.
but i'm disappointed with this company.
they promised me several things and never came thru with any of them. i think they just want to deal with the big cabinet producers.

Rej, pleased to say that i had a very helpful telecon today with Tom May of Lockdowel. Not only is he allowing me to purchase a small amount of the channel locks (which is only fair as i was not looking for freebies) but he offered to have his engineers look at my drawings and offer ideas.

I pointed out to him that there is a sizeable market of small cabinet shops that could benefit from his products - most are adaptable to cnc machines. He offered that they are working with shopbot in this area.

nothing but positives with the conversation - they have already shipped and i am looking forward to ‘testing’ with my shopbot as i build a cabinet for a good friend

To the Aspire team i offer that there may be a ‘gadget’ here for the slots needed for the channel locks - if lockdowel has not reached out to you, i would suggest you (vectric) reach out to them.

I will try to post more info and picks as a use the products

Cheers
Don
