looking for some help to get more detail

I want to make a plaque for my granddaughter who just graduated from UofM.
I would like to get more detail on the 3D portion of the plaque.
Specifically the cap and scroll and the block "M" logo.
Currently my last cutter (for the 3D portion) is a 3.95° tapered ball end mill with a .04"radius.
How can I isolate the two 3D images and get more detail with a smaller cutter (maybe a .062 or smaller) cutter without violating the existing 3D surface?

Just raise the model heights of those parts and they will literally stand out more.

You may want to consider putting a boundary vector around the area you want to re cut.
Then by selecting the "Selected Vector/s" option with the new finishing toolpath you will only cut that area with a smaller but.

Grampa & Grandma are in Columbus (but originally from Grand Rapids)
