Using V carve for plasma cutting

Post by GovernorHambo »

I'm looking to use v carve with my burntables plasma cutting table. Does anyone have any experience with this and how compatible v carve is for this sort of thing?

There are a good number of plasma machines that are being driven by Cut2D and VCPro. As long as you can find or make a postP for your machine, it should be a no-brainer

I use sheets for the the post processor and burntables mach 3 for the cutting program, but we have an ancient auto CAD now and we struggle to do even a basic font.

It is long known that AutoCAD does not export text well for vector cutting. Generate the text, and even the vectors themselves in VCPro and your job will be much more enjoyable
