Hello martin54
There's a contradiction here-
Either things are easy or they are not.
If it takes a lot of learning and practicing, how can it be called easy?
OK, I'm working on it to make it easy.

Wally,
I'm still on the upside of the learning curve with modeling in Aspire. I get some of it, but other parts are still a big mystery to me. It's called the learning curve.
How long did it take you to master Photoshop?
There's also another thing to consider in Aspire modeling, you're dealing with height of objects, something you don't have to contend with in a 2D paint app.
Start simple and build up your skills.
One of these days I'm going to take one of seminars taught by the wizards on this forum.

Hello highpockets,
I get what you're saying and yes it too few years to use Photoshop with ease but I have this thing about people not saying like it is,
computers came late in my life but every time I go to Apple or Microsoft store, these sales people say, oh it is easy!

Haha, no it's not a contradiction, it is easy to do, the process of getting to that point may not be so easy
Like you with Photoshop I have been dealing with 2d graphics as a signmaker working with vinyl & Digital print for years, I find drawing/editing easy but it wasn't always that way. Dealing with 2d graphics everything stays flat, doesn't matter how many layers you have or what you put on top of each other it is always flat
As John (highpockets) has said modelling adds height which changes things & means you have to take a different approach, maybe age is playing a part I can't say for sure but I certainly feel that for me learning 3d modelling is proving more difficult than it was to learn 2d
Stick with it I am sure given a bit of time you will get the hang of it as you did with photoshop, that's what I am hoping for myself

Re: CRV Files to CRV3d
It IS easy
It IS hard
There is no contradiction there. Oh and yes that is quite contradictory.
OK, OK -
My granddaughter is 7 years old and she can tie shoelaces now. Not easy, she needs more practice. Last year it was impossible for her. Next year, it will be easy for her.
My grandson, age 4, plays the Nintendo like he is a professional - EASY for him. REALLY HARD for me.
There is NOTHING easy about CAD - CAM - CNC, or any of this stuff. That is, until you learn and understand.
Dan Sawatsky says that we need to put in 10,000 hours before we can "start" to get good at it.
It's a skill. We learn this stuff. It's NOT the computer that does anything, it's the operator of the computer that makes the computer do it. YES, the computer is assisting, but it is not doing.
Even computer requires some level of skill.
For anyone that says this stuff is easy is either not understanding what is going on, know it so well that they forgot what is entailed in learning, is trying to encourage or just expressing how easy it is "once" you know how. In most cases, it is not meant as a negative comment.
It's a SKILL. Learning a skill is always a good thing. One nice thing here is that there is a decent group of people that know how, a decent group of intermediate skills, and a decent group of learners. We are ALL still learning, as there IS a ceiling, but I don't think any here are even close to the ceiling.
The computer, like the CNC machine is a tool, NOT an Indian. As it is said, "It's not the arrow that get the buffalo, it's the Indian".
