Need help "scoring" a line

Post by Rosepulido »

Hi, fairly new here. I'm trying to score the lines of a rainbow to make painting easy for 6 year olds. I want to use a marker to hi lite the scored lines. The problem I'm having is it is too deep and the marker doesn't fit very well, it hits the edges but doesn't get down to the bottom. . I'm using a 1/16 tapered bit and have decreased the depth all the way down to 0.001 and it is still too deep. I don't understand how 0.001 would amount to any depth at all... Am I missing something LOL. Thanks

How about something like this.

Use a .25" ball nose bit instead of a vbit. Might be better for little hands.
