Editing Rotated text

Is it possible to edit text without resetting the angle of the text to 0 degree?

If I have some text which has been rotated to say 30 degrees and then I go in and edit the height of that text via the text button it resets the text angle back to 0 and I must rotate it to 30 degrees again. Is there a work around or another method so I don't need to do this?

I've noticed this with text fitted to a curve aswell, after editing you have to re-fit it to the curve. Haven't found a workaround yet....apart from just re-fitting it!
