Adobe Photoshop

Hi all!
Hope everyone is doing well!
I'm Christmas shopping for myself and was looking to upgrade my Adobe Photo Deluxe and saw Adobe PhotoShop 6.0 in a unopened box for a good price. Is this a good version to get started with???
I see many of you keep mentioning Photoshop as one of two pieces of software that seems to be of choice.
Thanks for any advice!!

Photoshop is a excellent piece of software to add to your arsenal! As far as version 6.0, I think Photoshop is at version 12.0 (CS2) now, so your at least 6 versions behind the latest. Not that it matters, because things don't really change from 1 version to the next. Just figured I'd throw that out there. Make sure you pay accordingly.
