Two layer Plastic?

Post by Normsthename »

I seem to remember a post about two layer plastics where the top layer is white for instance, and if you machine down to just below half thickness it is then black.
I have been asked to quote a job for a customer, and this material would be ideal for it. :)
Anyone know what it is called???

TIA

Andy

Thanks for the replys :)
I have had a look at Gravoply and it does not seem to come in the thichkness that I require (1/2")
I want a plastic that is two layers of 1/4" the top one White and the bottom one white.
I think I will have to decline the job because if I cut it out in white plastic I will then have to paint the black background around the rasied lettering.
The customer requires 400 units in total
Its a shame because it could be a very good paying job!

Hi Andy
It sounds like you need King colorcore.

Thanks Dan
That looks interesting material!
I need the white letters to stand proud of the black material by 6mm
So I would have to first skim the top black layer off (Approx. 2mm) and then skim another 2mm to get the white level down to 6mm deep......
At least its given me an option!

Thanks

Andy
