Hi,
Following the leaf video to refresh my mind and notice the separate toolpath videos previously in Vcarve 7.5 have gone. Trying to remember and refresh my mind how to do toolpath for two rail sweep but no mention of it in the leaf video. Have the toolpath videos been deleted.
I did go to you tube to follow two rail sweep however these are aimed at aspire and appears differently in Vcarve pro 8.
Has anyone had a similar problem
Hopefully someone can shed some light on the missing toolpath videos
Thanks in anticipation
John.

Re: Two rail sweep and tool path videos
You can't do a two rail sweep in any version of VCarve including 8 so I'm a bit confused over the question. Even if you could the toolpath is the same roughing and finishing process that it is for all 3D objects.
The toolpath videos for 8 are in the 3D toolpaths category in the tutorial browser.

Re: Two rail sweep and tool path videos
Hi Adrian,
Thanks for the reply and update as to where the tool paths have moved to in version 8 of VCP
I am obviously under a misconception.
However I can clearly remember the young man in VCP 7.5 videos talking through how to do a two rail sweep in the leaf video.
It does seem odd though that he would discuss how you do that particular operation if its not actually possible to do it 7.5 or 8
Thanks again for your advice and reply
cheers
John

Re: Two rail sweep and tool path videos
The 2 rail sweep is a 3D modelling function so something that has never been in any version of vcarve pro. Are you sure your not thinking of something else John.

Two rail sweep is an Aspire only feature.

Impossible. VCarve has no model creation features at all. Never has.MMCNC wrote:Hello everyone is it possible to do a two rail sweep in v carve pro and if so maybe a few pointers. Thanks everyone for all the wonderful advice and help.. Mert

Re: Two rail sweep and tool path videos
There is a reason Aspire costs more than VCP! It simply does more! That is why Vectric offers different software packages.
I have VCP and love it, but if and when I want more advanced features, I'll upgrade to Aspire.
This company has some really good software and take care of there customers!

You can get close to what a 2-rail sweep would do if you use the moulding toolpath and a profile representing what you want the cross section to look like.

Perhaps that is what John and/or Mert are thinking of seeing in a video?? The Molding Toolpath. Sort of gives the "impression" of a modeling feature.
What say you, John and Mert? Is that a possibility?
