When I was entering my tool info it ask for a "pass depth" under cutting parameters.
Can anyone explain that to me.
I entered a 30 degree .094 diameter V-Bit and it said I had to use a .054 pass depth....Ok...no problem, but what does that mean.
Thanks Chuck

This refer to max stepdown you (or VCW) set for a given tool bit. This can be either the maximum possible according to the maximum CED (wideness) of the tool bit or a maximum in regards to the type of material you plan to machine. VCW will let you know if you input a too deep setting for a given CED... but you can set this to less for harder materials.
