I was wondering, I drew this design it is about 19x14 inches. I saved the view as a .jpg, I was wondering if anyone knew a good way to import it into some type of paint program
and assign colors to different selections.
It would be great if VCP 8.00 would have some way to do this...
Thanks..
Ken

If you toolpath the cuts, you can assign different colors to the cut out areas, as well as the background, and perhaps achieve what you are looking for.

That is the problem with only being about to spend a few hours a month with your hobby, you forgot a lot of the things you have learned. I seem to recall this now, no idea how to do it, but I am sure that once I start playing around things will come back to me.

If you exported it as a vector file you could import it into any vector based program & colour it, if your looking for free software then I believe inkscape is used by quite a few people, can't comment on it personally & the programs I use are more expensive so not worth buying just to colour visuals.

Angie is right if you do a preview of your toolpaths you can select the toolpath color and set the color. You can then save the save preview image and send it to the customer via email or print it out and take it to them. Sometimes you may have to create extra toolpaths to achieve this but it's very easy to do.
Attached is a logo I did for a customer and provided the color image for them.
