Are you saying Easter is not a Holiday in the States? I never knew that :?

Next Wave Automation has had a 4th axis add-on in development for the CNC Shark family line, and they too have been "suggesting" that it would show up (now) when 7.0 shows up to include support for that 4th axis lathe.

Apparently one or more posts have been deleted, but in Wolfie's quote the question of Easter=Holiday came up. I teach at a state university. Although we are free to celebrate Easter on Sunday (and Good Friday on Friday) if we want, there is no time off scheduled. Classes on Friday and Monday take place as usual. Most retail businesses are open as usual over this weekend. Easter is not a State or Federal holiday. It does appear to be a retail "season", though.

You live and you learn :)
Here in OZ, even shops that are open 24/7 do not open before midday on Christmas Day and Good Friday.
Apart from services like police, hospitals etc. everybody has a 4 day holiday, Friday to Monday.
In most of Europe even Thursday (don't know what it is called in English) is a holiday.
Even Pentecost (50 days after Easter) is a Holiday Monday in Europe.
It is said that if you get up at daybreak, you can see the sun dance with joy but I believe it is mainly an illusion, caused by the celebrations the night before

Back to Vcarve Pro 7.0. Very much looking forward to this update and the new features. I started to lust for it when watching the videos that showed the new drafting features in Aspire.

Just curious.... back when I took drafting classes it occurred to me the word Draft may have come about because experienced drafters would create a small breeze when working efficiently and quickly.

Anyone else have a theory?

Yes, I'm bored. I still have 7.0 on my mind.

I'll finally be receiving VCarve Pro today or tomorrow by UPS, but I honestly don't know which version is showing up.

If it's 6.5, is there a grace period where I'll get an upgrade to 7, or is that wishful thinking? :)

Upgrades are free for a year after purchase so you've nothing to worry about.

I bought from a reseller. I'm sure if you buy directly from Vectric you get a download (or the option).

Good question. I bought 6.5 recently and only received the download. No CD.

Hooray! The download links for 7.0 arrived this morning. I won't have a chance to play with it until this afternoon, but my free upgrade installed perfectly and looks to be running fine.

If people receive VCarve Pro with their machine tool it will arrive on a CD, usually with the machine. However some machine tool suppliers send the software out ahead of the machine delivery. If you order the software online, you receive an electronic download, though you have the option of buying a backup cd of the download at the point of purchase.

I don't qualify for the free upgrade, but I love my VCarve Pro 6.5. I'll be waiting for reviews of 7.0

I finally received my VCarve Pro 6.5 and Cu3d last evening and sent in my registration. I can't wait to install v7 when they process it and send my update links! :)
