Clocks

Post by tafkadaz »

Hi has anyone here cut a clock yet on their cnc, by a clock i mean 100% mechanical no electronics, pendulum and counter weight?

I have done my first and here is a link to it on my facebook page.
It is keeping time perfectly and needs winding every 2/1/2 days.
As soon as i get chance i will photo it correctly and post proper pics etc.
Before anyone asks i cant share files as i paid for them from a clockmaker who doesn't want these floating around the net.
Search wooden times and you can find his site.
I a now completley hooked on this type of think and will be doing this same clock but using solid brass for the cogs, (luckily i work at a hot foil stamping factory so we have lots of scrap brass we normally just weigh in, and yes it is the perfect brass for cnc as they are already cnc cut).
Anyone who knows where i can purchase more dxf plans for these or other mechanical items we can cnc i would appreciate letting me know.

Anyhow here's the link turn your head to side to see correct orientation.
