Thanks friendsand indeed it is walnut.just put a first coat of tung oil, will let sit for a while then another coat and a buff,pics soon,cheers. :mrgreen:

Here is a pic with another coat of oil, came out a wee bit darker,thanks for looking.

Thanks very much, It,s for my wife to keep some candles and scented oil viles. I still need to line the interior with some felt material.Thanks agian Ron,cheers. :D

Have you tried flocking? It's a spray on fiber that looks like felt. http://www.constantines.com/index.asp?P ... ProdID=227

My guess is that crushed stone & epoxy inlay stuff....? ....... or maybe you just spilled some milk... :lol:
