We cut this sign using Cut2D and our CNC router - which has only been used to do closet and cabinet parts till now. The background is opaque, the inset letters are a translucent material -ansd the letters are slightly thicker than the background. The sign is being backlit in place - and it looks great! THe letters were cut along the outside of the path, the background along the inside of the path - and they fit like a glove - no light passes through the gap at all!
How'd we do for no experience?
And they said it couldn't be done!
