A box for my pens

Post by fr4j4n »

Again a simple projet using fonts. It's a little box for holding pens on my desk.

In Cut2D, i've drawn some regtangles, download this font (http://www.dafont.com/fr/symmetry.font), put some 'p' on drawing and finaly make the cutting program.

The bits used are 0.8mm and 2mm endmill.

Zipped CRV file is available here : http://franck.jandot.fr/index.php/dlm/4/11 (right clic - save as)

Here is some pictures.

Last informations !!

I just broke my two 0.8mm endmill ! The first one because my z axe was not enought oiled so it not retract as well, and the second because i take origine under material and not up the material as i've programmed.

So I can't cut anymore for today. In a few days i will buy new bits and then show you th results.

I add two pictures to show you the cut part (about 2hours) and a closer view.

Box for pens

Post by hz6b9k »

Greetings,

Excellent work! I too like to use very small endmills. I've broken so many myself. Keep up the good work and we can't wait to see what else you will be making.

Thanks much for sharing this with us and happy cutting,
Shane

Will look great when you finish. Great idea.

Also like the way you hold down the material, wish I had thought of that about 6 months ago.
