My first couple of project on my new Probotix Comet

Post by IDAK »

As some may know I am new to the CNC world and with the help from individuals here i have worked out some issues with getting my machine up and running so that I can turn out some nice products.

Here are my first few items that I have completed.

Thank you. I will agree with you Sottp55. I took a little bit to control the tear outs but I think i am getting the hang of it now. It does change from wood type to wood type for sure.

Now i just need to figure out how to create edging designs so that I can have decorative edges on some things. I guess until I figure that out I will continue to do them free hand when I need them.

IDAK,
You've seen these I imagine, but posting anyways :)

Also look into Point Cutting(plunge cutting, barley twists) Roundover bits, Quite a bit you can do with them in both borders and lettering. I've use both Whiteside and Magnate so for, but hear good things about Amana too.

Have fun,
