Hi there,
I have been running some parts by cutting out the profile in Cut2D and then running a 3D profile using paths generated by Cut3D. In laying out the parts I have noticed some minor anomalies and I'm wondering if someone can explain what is going on.
I have a part that measures .4 x .8 " in the x-y plane. When I import a dxf for the profile, it scales properly to the right dimensions. When I import the Cut3D file, the measurements are slightly off. I think this past time it ended up being something like .4023 x .8023 or something like that. For my parts a couple of thousandths really doesn't matter too much (at least right now), but I am wondering what is going on.
Also, I am trying to figure out if I should center the profile and the Cut3D toolpath or index them both off one of the corners (and which one that might be).
Thanks,
Matt
