Problem with Solid Works DXF Files

Post by jensn »

Hi,

I am creating DXF Files out of Solid Works.
See example attachment.

When I try to select the inner holes I can only cut two of the four with a 1.5mm mill.
Any ideas, how I can do this?

Hello and welcome to the forum Jens,

There are a couple things going on with in this imported drawing.
The triangular, and rectangular shapes are open vectors.
Along with that there are short lines laying on top or under some of those lines.
I couldn't find any duplicate lines.
But was able to zoom in and get rid of the short lines ( drag a window around one of the rectangular shapes and zoom in close. You can select and remove which ones you need.
The larges shape it was also an open vector. It needed to be closed.
There were also some very small lines scattered out inside those recangular shapes.
I was able to get rid of everything except your lines.
I've attached an eps and a dxf of the fixed lines.

If you need any more help. Don't hesitate to ask.

Hi Jens,

If that postprocessor works OK for you in Cut3D it should work in Cut2D as well, just copy the file to the PostP directory.

Hi Brian,

I though this as well. But just copieng the PP does not work.
After some trial&error I sorted out, that the PCNC (Dos) PP is working.

Do you have a document which is describing, how I can write my own PP?
Is there also a list of G-Code somewhere available?

Thanks for your kind support
Jens
