Post by cromag27 »

i basically want the bit to plunge through the material and back out again. i use illustrator to design, and pro to cut. i 'm not sure how to create the mark in illustrator and then what to select in c2dpro (on?).

Yes, just make sure you have a 1/4" bit in there, select the circle you've created, and then use the "drilling" icon...set your depth same as the material you're cutting and it does the rest. Just remember, on the "drilling" icon, it basically in just a simply plunge down effect, I don't think the software cares the size of the circle you made as it only goes up and down in "Z axis"...Also, when using this drilling feature, make sure there is a (+) inside the circle after setting the tooling path. This lets you know you're good to go! I use drilling all day everyday for the products we make...great feature!
