Trouble setting tool pass depth

Post by helensdad »

Hi, I am trying to set a pocket tool path to cut some numbers to a depth of 3 mm using a 1/8 ball nose endmill, but I cannot set the path depth, when I tryi in the tool edit box, I enter the number of passes, but they don't show on the main pocket screen. If I click 'calculate' I get the following... 'A formula used in one of the edit boxes is not valid'. I have attached tool set up and edit passes dialog boxes...[img]

For your cut depth, try using "3" instead of "3mm".

Cheers! That worked, many thanks. So simple a solution, I should have spotted that...
