First project...

I am stuck already! I am trying to make a name plaque for my daughter's horse stable, I have managed to get the text into an oval with a border, the whole thing cut from a rectangle of Ash. So, I need a toolpath with tabs around the outer oval perimeter the full depth of the material, 17mm. I then want to leave the outer and inner oval as is, same with the text, so I basically want to carve out all the material around the text to a depth of 5mm. When I create the toolpath and run the simulation, it carves the lot away or just leaves portions of the text. I would be most grateful for any tips. I am using Cut2D......

Create a pocket toolpath that consists of the text and inner oval. The outer oval is a profile toolpath.

Basically the same as this tutorial - https://support.vectric.com/tutorials/V ... video_id=2
