Cut#D file to Aspire file?

Post by Alydar »

hello All -

I have a very old version of Cut3D, yes Cut 3D. :-)

My cnc operator uses Aspire and I am trying to save a file in Cut3D that they can cut with Aspire.

Any ideas on this?

Thanks!

Here's a Partworks3D one from 2014(my very first 3D)....can't remember exactly how I imported the toolpaths, but it worked back then with VCP7....
And just opened it up with the Shopbot Edition of VCP 9.517...and it worked.
Maybe send him the Roughing and Finishing toolpaths, and see if Aspire will open them?

If you toolpath the file in Cut3D and save it the V3D file can then be loaded into Aspire via the File/Import menu. This will load the toolpaths but you can also position the item as well in Aspire plus edit the feed rates.

Thanks guys -

I cannot save this as a v3d file out of cut3d - is there a general purpose file type that Aspire will accept if imported?

Aspire can import several different 3D file types.
