Sure, it wont have all the featured of V carve or aspire, but it can be done.

Depends what type of inlay you mean. Normal flat inlays are no problem but you can't do the vinlay process as Cut2D doesn't have the necessary toolpaths.

What they are saying, is yes, you can , but there is no built in inlay tool. So you'll need to create the pocket and inlay manually.

Not according to Vectric and my own experience:

Auto-Inlay Toolpaths
The Auto-Inlay toolpath options calculate profile cut-out and pocketing toolpaths for parts that need to be assembled to make inlays and inserts.

Automatic cutter radius compensation on corner regions to ensure male shapes will fit into female pockets or cavities
Allowance option to ensure a sufficient 'gap' is created to allow parts to fit together
4 different Inlay options that are designed to make machining inlays very simple and straightforward (straight, stepped, pocket and hole)
Ideal toolpath option for sign makers, woodworkers, plastic and solid surface fabricators who need to cut parts that fit closely together

The cutter radius compensation can be done by using the offset tool with the tool radius and the allowance option is present on the profile and pocket toolpaths in Cut2D. The variations on the inlays can be done with other vector adjustments.

The one type of inlay that is impossible as far as I know is the vinlay type as that relies on vcarving which Cut2D can't do.

Sorry, my mistake.

Cut2D has a lot more features than it used to. :D

Still catching me out now as you can see from my replies.

Wish they'd stop adding more features to the programs, it's getting harder to keep up with more brain cells I lose!
