3 Questions

Post by cusoak »

1 I yesterday I downloaded my Cut2D program and ran the 2 cut files and was impressed with the ease of saving the files to work on my Shapeoko 3
They turned out great. Question, in the upper right hand corner is a new version sign,is that an update should download?.
2 I watched a video that was a project of around tired light. thought I saved it but did not. could some one point me to it again.
3 Is there a video tutorial on manual tool changing. A design that require the cnc to be stopped and a different tool installed and started again.
Thanks Much Jeff

1. Generally you should always apply the update as they are nearly always bug fixes.

2. Was it this one? - http://support.vectric.com/tutorials/V8 ... her_1.html

3. That's something you really need to find for your ShapeOko as the process is different from machine to machine and isn't really anything to do with Cut2D. Probably best to try their forum - https://www.shapeoko.com/forum

As always thanks very much.
I am learning more every time I get an answer from you
But new questions always keep coming up.
Now that I am signed up for the portal I see free project downloads.
Will most of them work on Ctu2D ?

Some of the ones with the blue download button for VCarve might work as long as they aren't using VCarve only features but there aren't any for Cut2D specifically as far as I know,

Is there any reason that the santa serving dish free download could not be cut on cut2d.

Not without some changes as it uses a vcarve toolpath and a fluting toolpath. They could easily be replaced with a profile or pocket toolpath though.
