I am using the quick engrave tool using Fill and offsets.
I have noticed that occasionally it will not lift up the tool when moving to a different spot. It will cut across several lines. It appears that after it engraves the middle offset, it does not lift up moving to the next vector.
Any ideas?
I originally tried to use the Fill with crosshatch, but that took to long and was too hard on my machine. The offset fill runs much faster and I like the effect.
I am using a diamond drag bit on acrylic to make a lighted LED sign.

Re: Quick engrave problem
Might be caused by the tool itself having too much spring pressure [adjustable on most drag bits].
Also may try setting z clearance in material setup to .2 or so to be certain the bit is getting proper clearance.
If it still drags where its not supposed to then you have a vector problem and need to diagnose or try making new vectors.
You can also use a plain pocket toolpath, just select an engraving bit with appropriate depth [I usually go very shallow on acrylic, .009 or so, just a scratch]
