i would like to be able to do both . In other words several model airplane wing ribs the same size . However i would like to on another time cut several curved parts all different . So its a two part question.

Do you have Cut2D Pro or Cut2D Desktop? With Pro you can use the nesting feature and toolpath templates that will do everything you want.

With Desktop you would need to use the array copy tool for multiple copies of the same part but for lots of different parts you would have to place them manually using the alignment tools to help.

i have just down loaded the trial version of desktop . i can't find where the array copy tool is at . Sorry but i want to make sure that i purchase the right software for my purposes . The second ? is what are the steps for placing parts manually by using the alignment tool . Isw all of this covered in a user's manual as i don't see them on any video's

If you have selected the drawing tab they are the bottom set of icons, first icon is offset, second linear array, third circular array, don't think desktop does plate production or nesting.

For the second question you would need to import each part individually, not sure where best to find info on using alignment tools but they are pretty self explanatory
