What will matter is not what you bought but what you built; not what you got, but what you gave

Single line text has to be cut using the Profile toolpath with the Machine Vectors "On" box checked. Experiment with V bit angle and cutting depth until the preview shows a result that you like. You can also try a ball nose or flat bit, but the results are usually not very satisfactory.
Note:I am assuming that Cut2D is similar to VCarve Pro (which is what I have).

"also interested in wood gear making "
For how to construct gear to be cut on a CNC, see my post: http://forum.vectric.com/viewtopic.php?t=21084. Read all of the posts.
Also a Google search on CNC gears will turn up lots of useful information.

Re: new user new beginner
You don't transfer the program to another computer. You install it again from scratch using the installation file.

Dean:
I would suspect that there is something binding. Try turning the acme shaft by hand with the power off. Also, try the Shark forum or contact New Wave Automation. They are the most likely to know the answer.
