In my trial version of Cut2D pro there is no millimeter option as in the desktop version.
Is that really so also in the version I can buy?
I think that is a very important point.

The trial versions are identical to the purchased versions. The only difference is that they can only create toolpaths for the sample projects and gadgets don't work.
The inches/mm setting is on the Job Setup dialog. The first icon on the 2nd row of the Drawing tab or from Job Size and Position on the Edit menu.
