How to - Install Post Processor

Post by mristau »

Downloaded mm and inch post processors for TinyG and placed in the appropriate Cut2D data folder.

They are now listed with all the others when saving tool path but I'm getting errors when I try to use them... both files end in .txt instead of .pp like all the others in the pp folder.

Can someone point me to info on installing post processors cause I'm not finding? Thanks!

What errors are you getting?

IIRC, as you noticed, the extension must be .pp

Why not simply change it? Windows will display a warning, but as it's actually what you want, just confirm.

If you are using NotePad++, you'll have to encode the file in UTF-8 without BOM.

Thanks! Saving with UTF-8 was the fix.

You're welcome.

I've been caught by this one, and unfortunately, the software doesn't give any helpful error message.
