Tapping in Cut 2D
Does Cut 2D support tapping? I have the trial version, I can't seem to find the tapping operation. your help would be greatley appriciated.

There's no direct toolpath support for thread cutting in Cut2D. There is a gadget available for VCarve that does thread cutting but I don't know if that would work for your needs - http://paulrowntree.weebly.com/gadgets.html

Tapping? As in rigid tapping?
That would require machine software to ramp up and ramp down the RPM's on the machine.
The machine would also need to be programming feedrate in IPR - not IPM.
The feed rate would be a function of RPM and thread pitch.
I use that stuff on industrial machines all the time.
What machine are you wanting to do that with?

A Tormach 1100
