33rd Annual Florida State Studebaker Meet Award

Post by JJWMACHINECO »

This is a special award I made for the 33rd Annual Florida State Studebaker Meet. It was given away for the Best of Show Award on October 23, 2010. The Lithophane is with Harry Barnes, the founder of the Studebaker Drivers Club, next to his 1938 Studebaker Commander at the St. Marks Lighthouse.

The picture is not visible with the clock photo, so I added a close up of the Lithophane.

Very nice work.

I grew up in South Bend IN the home of Studebaker. The factory was going strong and a lot of my family worked there.

Thanks for the memories.

Mark

Thanks Mark and Jim.

I own a 1964 Studebaker Champ Pickup and won 3rd place in the Modified Truck Class. I also won the Dr. Robert Cade Award which is a big honor. Dr. Cade is the inventor of Gatorade and was a big collector and enthusiast of Studebakers. The award is given away to the person that drives there Studebaker regularly and I drive mine every day. His son Steve was coordinating and overseeing the judging at the meet and there were approximately 70 Studebakers that registered and showed up. :D
