Christmas Present for my sons

Post by MikeUSNRet »

This one is just about an hour off the table. Both of my boys have always liked this picture of their mom from long ago, so thought I'd send each of them a litho for Christmas. One down, one to go.

Roger.

Same settings as usual.

.25" Champagne White Corian.

PVC Settings:

Tool: .031 Ballnose
Cut depth per pass: .21
Max cut depth: .2
Line Spacing: 10%
Cut Angle: 310 deg
Feed Rate: 50 IPM
Plunge: 20
Invert Black / White then calculate

Actually use a .25" dia 30deg vcarve bit

Frame:
Simple box frame using 4/4 thick stock that was ripped to 2" wide and cut with 45 deg mitres to fit litho stock

.25 dado cut .125 deep approx .25 back from leading edge on the face.

.25 rabbet cut on back face that is .25 deep to accept backer board.

on the smaller 5x7 litho, used cool white LED's hot glued on inside of frame on the left and right side.

Thank you Mike,

I have printed your settings off. Now to try and get one done myself. If I can get anywhere near the quality that you have I will be more than happy.

Thanks again,
Roger.
