Litho Cube
It's not enough to do one.
The framing material is 3/4 inch 1/4 round, plastic from Home Depot
If you stay with a square, all frameing parts remain the same...
Run time was between 7 and 16 hours per panel
Images are from Water Color artist David Miller of Portland OR.
I have three more cubes to make for other people, then I can get to Aspire.
Worksheet typical of the panels:
Project ID: Litho Cube - Panel 2
Gcode ID: Guy02.txt (Edit for Z-axis lift)
Media: Corian - White Media X: 6.000 Media Y: 6.000
Image: Guy02.jpg Image X: 5.400 Media Y: 3.663
Margin X: .300 Margin Y: .300
Offset X: 6.00-5.400/2 = .300
Offset Y: 6.00-3.663/2 = 1.168
Offset Z: Surface touchoff + .075
Endmill: 30 Degree 1/4 Centurion V-bit - aka - .030 Ballnose
Depth of Cut: .11
Line Spacing: 8% Nbr of lines: 2177 Step Over: .002 Angle: 90 Degrees
Invert: Yes Contrast: 0
Actual Run Time: 7:21

Re: Litho Cube
Well done.
Re: Litho Cube
Very cool! I was thinking about doing this last year, but after walking around Home Depot for a hour couldn't find anything suitable for the frame. What dept. is it in?

Re: Litho Cube
The material is located with trim and molding material.
The plastic was the least expensive option at .54 cents per LF.
Manufacture web site is www.timbron.com

Re: Litho Cube
the new "standard" light bulb. Some seem to carry more yellow than white.

Re: Litho Cube
Heat doesn't seem to be a problem at this time.
It's been run 24x7 and I considered it warm to the touch.
Nothing that raised a warning flag to me.
Any size smaller than 6x6 would require a prototype for reviewing heat issues.

Re: Litho Cube
A great project! I am unsure how the cube goes together though.............
Thanks for a great example of how PhotoVcarve can validate it'sself in one job.
