lighting up ...this is fun stuff

Post by handcrafted »

once you have the layout down... you can almost print money...

I bought this program to add to other programing we had in the shop.

For the most part I just build canoes (which these days gets put on hold), now I find that if you give on of these to the right person, the advertising is worth the $10 in materials.

I have sold over 60 in the past 30 days

Great work handcrafted.
I just did my first lithopane tonight out of .250 corian. I was not really happy with the result.

Mind sharing your tool settings, speed and type of bit you are using? Interested in your cut depths, from your examples and others in the forum I think I am cutting too deep. I also had what looked like “chatter” marks on some edges, but I think I was too fast for the size. I was trying BSImages suggestion on a 45 degree v bit, but I think I'm off on some of my settings, going to give it another try tomorrow.

myself I find it may be hard to charge enough to make them worth the time it takes to cut. what are you charging for one?

Please do share size and resolution you are cutting at. As KTW states I have to charge pretty penny for a 4x4 that takes 4.5 hours to carve. LBJ I use a 30 degree bit from centurion and have no problems, I wll find like to settings this evening and post got to get ready for work ...

Handcrafted-

Are you giving away just the lithopane or mounted and lighted ones?
