PVC in maple

Postby duane_s » Thu Jun 25, 2015 11:57 pm

Here is a PVC job I did for a customer - I use a .125 ballnose cutter
It's not my first one, one of my better jobs

Looks pretty good. Sometimes you just need the right photo. I tell people some photos will work and some won't, it all depends on how high the resolution is and on details in the photo.

Tony, you are correct. Some photos just don't work. The preview window works very well to display what the outcome will be like.

I'm attaching one of the first ones I did along with the photo. It's a photo that was taken at a college hockey game a couple of years ago

The pics look great. Can you tell me what cutting parameters you used. How deep did you go..

Regards

Brian,

Thanks for the comments.

The hockey fan cutting parameters are, max depth 0.1 with a 10% line spacing, 30 degree angle and once again 0.25 tapered ball nose cutter.

The one with the barn wood frame cutting parameters are, max depth 0.07 with a 15% line spacing, 30 degree angle.

I like to play around with the depth and line spacing to get the best results.
