A lithophane without a roughing toolpath on 1/4" corian
It wasn't clear from my original question that this isn't really dirt, it just looks like it, so I thought I would clarify that for anyone else reading this later.
I also think it's small burs and ridges. Scrubbing and coating does indeed improve things - more on some images than others. I have a 1/16" tapered ball nose that I'm going to try, and compare the results.
Thanks,
Denver

I found its important to get feeds and spindle speed right because corian is more scrylic resin than powdered stone. I found I got a lot of "remelt" powder when I had my spindle speed too high. I also found I could fix this by using a nylon, brass or fine strand stainless brush on it and knock it away. I used harbor freight's detail brushes...99 cents for a nylon, brass and stainless detail brush set (59 cents on sale).

Bill or anybody,
What exact conical bits are you using?
Where did you purchase them?
I have some conical bits (.125 shaft), but I think they are to delicate to be cutting into corian.
My other .25 conical does'nt have a real sharp point.
It is flat on the bottom of the conical. More for countersinking screws.
Any help appreciated.
