Re: recent jobs
Those are beautiful. I haven't seen a 3D image of faces like that before. Taken from photos I'm sure, but do you mind saying how you get crate the tool paths? I am considering Photo V-Carve but this look so much better.

Re: recent jobs
Those are some great looking photos in wood. What settings did you use with what bits? Would like to see more of your work.

Thank you. I have a 7 month old granddaughter and I'll try to make one of her with the trial software.

Re: recent jobs
The trail software won't save the toolpaths for you to cut.

Re: recent jobs
Tony,
The trial version will save the toolpath but it adds a watermark to the image. If I remember right you have to cut it right away, so you are right, it would save them on the hard drive to cut at a later date. I'm seeing if spending $150 is worth it. So far I think it might from the image I'm getting on the screen. I'll cut a test piece this weekend.
Dingfelder,
Do you use a black and white photo? I've used a color photo and it looks okay.

Re: recent jobs
Hola Tony ... I normally use the photo as it is ... never have converted from color to black&white.
Maybe is a good idea, but I'm not convinced it makes a difference.

Re: recent jobs
What kind of wood you using to do the pictures? They are excellent. I get mine close but not like yours.

Re: recent jobs
Just curious, does your preview image look close to your final result. If possible, can you post a screenshot of your preview image?
Re: recent jobs
These look great.
I am able to cut these, but I do not know how to finish them so they look this good.
Can you tell us how you finish them?
Thanks,
Sam
