6x6 ceramic

I have just finished a set of 4-1/4" square tiles. I used a 1/16 two flute TIAN coated ball cutter. I am amazed that it is still quite sharp. We painted the tiles today, and should be fired this week some time. Hopefully I can post some picks for next weekend.

Thanks for the inspiration! I would never have guessed tile could have been cut.

I hope you can attend this years Vectric/aspire/workshop here in Guelph. I'd to see more of your work.

Glad to hear I have helped inspire others. Can,t wait to see your work. Could you tell us your approach, speed and feed. Is the bit you are useing a high speed steel with coating and where did you get the bit. Any pics of the bit? Good to know you are getting good results John.yes it would be great to make it out to Guelph and meet other Vectric users in person. keep up the good work.

I'll try do do up a proper report Monday when I get back in the shop.

I found the tiles at a place called "Play with Clay" here in Guelph. The cost of the tile included painting and firing at the store.

We painted today, and it will take till next Saturday to have them fired. I will definitely post finished pictures.
