Thanks for the compliment Jim,

My first attempt at a home built CNC. It took 6 months to complete working on it when I could find time. So far it's working beautifully.

Update,

Guitar has gone through detail, grain filling, 3 coats of sealer and sunburst finish on front. Still to come are back side coloring, multiple coats of lacquer with sanding in between, a 4 week curing period & final polishing. Then all hardware & electronics will be installed and guitar will be set-up for playing. It's a long process but can't really be sidestepped with a high end custom built guitar.

Long time since posting ..

Second guitar finished with a few minor tweaks in dimensions here & there .. different color scheme & finish process .. This one's a Keeper!

Thanks to Vectric for the great cam software .. both 2D & 3D are being utilized with great success ..

Angie & Tony,

Thanks for the compliments .. machine & software is working out great!
One more quick report .. the last completed guitar (pictured in this thread) sold four days after completion ..
Now if that continues .. Father & Son will both be very happy campers!

Gary
